Midjourney AI

It runs in Discord which means you don’t need a fast computer and use it on your phone. It works on a subscription basis ($10 or $30/month). A great start with AI image generation. https://www.midjourney.com/

Stable Diffusion by Stability AI

Open source which means you can install it locally if you have a good enough PC and run it for free. It’s a more “raw” and unfiltered kind of image generation but with ultimately more control over the outcome. There’s also an online based WebUI option similar to Midjourney and they call it “Dreamstudio”. That will develop quickly into something much bigger with a lot more ” (3D, animation, music…)

Stable Diffusion WebUIs

There are plenty of UIs around that are free to use that have Stable Diffusion as a base. But it often requires to copy and paste or write code commands, work with python scripts etc. and this gets quickly confusing if you’re not familiar with it. One popular version is a notebook accessible online via Google Colab.

Another popular one which I’m using myself is a WebUI by AUTOMATIC1111. It can be run online with a Google Colab or locally on your own PC. Installation is intimidating at first but sounds more complex that it actually is. It has plenty of features and custom scripts that uses can submit.
